With four famous notes, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony continually thrills each time it is performed. Finnish conductor Hannu Lintu makes his NAC debut leading this iconic work by the greatest of composers.

Universally recognizable from its opening four-note passage and spectacular finale, Beethoven’s powerful Fifth Symphony continues to inspire each time it is performed. Finnish conductor Hannu Lintu makes his NAC Orchestra debut leading this iconic work by the greatest of all composers. Canadian violinist and MacArthur fellowship recipient Leila Josefowicz returns to perform British composer Thomas Adès’s Violin Concerto, Concentric Paths, a hypnotic work where the soloist spins melodies that encircle and evolve as the orchestra presents a colourful backdrop.
